-
Smoking odors, residue, or evidence in a room will be treated as a violation, even if active smoking is not witnessed
Why We Enforce This

To cover these costs:
-
A $250 smoking fee will be charged if smoking is detected in a guest room
This fee is not a penalty. It reflects the actual cost of restoring the room to a smoke-free condition.

Cannabis Use at Barton’s Club 93
Here’s What You Should Know: We’re glad you’re here. We support Nevada’s legal cannabis framework—but we also have a responsibility to follow the law and help our guests avoid unintentional issues.
Buying Is Legal. Using? Not So Simple.
Cannabis is legal to purchase in Nevada if you’re 21 or older, including here in Jackpot. But where you can legally use it is very limited.
Under Nevada law
-
Cannabis can only be consumed in private residences or licensed consumption lounges.
-
Hotel rooms are not considered private residences, even if you’ve rented them.
-
There are no licensed cannabis lounges in Jackpot or Elko County.
That means
-
You cannot legally smoke, vape, or consume cannabis in your room
-
You cannot consume cannabis anywhere on Barton’s Club 93 property, including parking areas or vehicles
-
You cannot use cannabis in public spaces anywhere in town
Why We Enforce This
We know it might come as a surprise—especially to out-of-state guests who assume “legal to buy” means “legal to use.” Unfortunately, state law says otherwise, and as a licensed hospitality business, we’re required to comply.
If cannabis use is discovered on property, you may be asked to stop or leave.
If cited by law enforcement, the fine for public consumption can be up to $600 for a first offense.
What Can You Do Instead?
Until the law changes or local consumption lounges open, only private residences where cannabis is allowed by the owner are legal spaces for use.
We understand the frustration—and we appreciate your cooperation.
Still Have Questions?
